Hydraulic Tensioning
During tightening, all of the bolts of the flanged joint can be elongated simultaneously using hydraulic tensioners. While the bolts are elongated, the nuts of the flanged joint are tightened. Once the elongating force is removed, the connection is tightened, with the nuts supporting the load.
Benefits of this procedure are:
- All bolts are tightened simultaneously, no complicated tightening sequence has to be applied.
- Friction effects are low; there is no significant torsion in the bolts.
- Accelerated seating of the joint elements (especially the gasket).
has achieved tensioning equipment for flanged joints with up to 52 bolts simultaneously. Our tensioning equipment comes in segments, so the fixture is still easy to handle even for larger dimensions, and can therefore be used without additional equipment.
Furthermore, the modular construction permits individual cylinders to be replaced at any time, or for different support rings (for different pitch circles) to be used with the same hydraulic cylinders.
provides complete systems, ready for immediate use (hydraulic pumps driven by compressed air or electrically by a battery) designed for customer needs.
